My career at Sezzle began in July 2021 and I was brought on as a Senior Graphic Designer for the Product Team. My job was to elevate the visual style of the Product Design team using my graphic design and illustration skills. I generated several illustrations, developed an illustration style, and experimented with micro-animations.
By January 2022, my position was eliminated, with the illustration work transferring to the Marketing team, and I was folded into the Product Design team as an Associate Product Designer. I learned a lot about UI/UX design as a Senior Graphic Designer and my transition cemented my new career in Product Design.
This illustration went through a series of iterations while we were developing the illustration style at Sezzle. We settled on using mostly desaturated, light purples, for the majority of elements, adding accent colors where appropriate.
